We secure all our managed services clients with email filtering before emails are sent into the office 365 stratosphere. There is a small feature that comes as part of this package called email encryption.
So how does it work?
Well its as simple as 1, 2, 3.
- First you type your email like normal
- Then you select the encrypt email button
- Then hit send and that’s it for the sender
What does the receiver do?
Well thats also as simple as 1, 2, 3, 4.
- First you open the email like normal
- Then you click on the link
- Then sign in
- Then you view your emails
So that’s how you can easily send encrypted email messages to your clients. The messages are never stored on the recipient’s mail server and the sender gets a nice email notification telling them when the encrypted email was opened. This is a great way for lawyers, accountants, financial advisers and anyone that deals with confidential information by email to securely send emails to a third party.
